mmm. so many nozzels! so little water!
Well, if you’ve been reading our reviews you can tell that we weren’t a fan of our last showerhead made by delta. Luckily, Bricor has been turning out some great products as of late and my wife took it upon us to order this 32 stream 1.5GPM Low Flow showerhead. The price is a bit steep compared to other showerheads, but as this is a luxury showerhead it’s probably priced right at $65. Overall, we loved this product, it has a great build quality, wonderful pressure, and it saves you about 1 GPM compared to other “low flow” showerheads. So we’re pretty excited. Go ahead and watch the video review and let us know what you think!
UPDATE: I still love the Bricor, but I am reducing the rating to reflect our new grading criteria

Nice review! I just reviewed the Oxygenics Elite 700 shower head and, after being utterly humiliated by your far more high-tech methods, I took my trusty digital camera and stood in the shower, producing my very first video review of that product. I really like it, although the specs on this Bricor head are pretty impressive indeed as well. The model I tried is somewhat less expensive than this one (around $35).
In any case, I think it’s safe to say we both found the alternatives better than that horrid Delta version.
So check out my review and very first ever video on http://fivepercent.us
.
Hey, one idea: I’ll be happy to send along my Oxygenics head for a short time in exchange for your Bricor model. We can send them back to each other after checking them out. I am very curious to know how much better the Bricor is, but prefer not to buy a product I am likely to return (seems like a waste). Let me know if you’re interested!
Another one I am interested in is the Evolve shower head. They have a different spin on saving water, but have also come out with an actual low-flow head that they claim is good. Given my snarky review of their marketing hype, I wonder if they would even send me one to look at. Still, its specs are good.
And keep up the good work — you guys have a good idea here, and I hope it works out for you.

P.S. I have heard really great things about Toto toilets (I have “seen” them a friend’s house). Water saving toilets can vary tremendously in “performance”, a fact which at the time we bought we had no idea about. We can give you our scathing comments about our American Standard potties. Or even another fine and thrilling video production! Or not.
Great review and thanks! I have been trying to convince my parents to replace their back-breaking showerhead for years… I’ll see in this one will finally convince them…
Mind if I post a link on my blog?

no of course not. go right ahread.
Hi, Nice review – the folks at Bricor make good stuff (I’m hoping we can add our technology to thier shower heads). If you would like to try one of our “evolve shower heads” – plz email me at john.lockhart@showerstart.com and I’ll send you a free one if you will review it.
Wish you could have a flow rate test to see if it meets it specs. You’d need a pressure test first and then do the bucket test.
I hope you can review an Evolve shower hread. I also tried the horrible Delta and I’m looking for a reasonably priced low-flow, non-hurting, shower head. I’d like to see a comparison of this Bricor and the Evolve Roadrunner.
I just bought a house and as I buy new stuff I am thinking green wherever possible. This looks like a good choice but I would love to be able to buy it locally [Los Angeles] in case I want to return it. Does anyone know if is available somewhere I might be able to walk into?
So I found on the bricor site they have a vendor finder. Nothing near me. So I took the plunge and bought it. I hope it is nice.
I got it and felt like posting my review. It’s okay. For low flow it’s really nice but for a $75 shower head it’s not all that nice. It’s one of those times where you have to go okay this isn’t as good as it could be but I am helping the planet so I guess I have that. It does look very nice.
You also have to remember to compare it to other low flow shower heads, rather than the crazy super duper rain, massage shower heads that you get at Lowe’s for low flow it truly is hard to beat this showerhead and how much pressure it delivers… while the Evolve gives it a run for its money and is more affordable, I prefer the Bricor’s water stream… so, I am hoping to get a ladybug (otherwise known as the doggle by Zane) to put on the Bricor….
The perfect compliment to a low flow showerhead is The Hot Water Lobster Instant Hot Water Valve! It will get hot water to your shower faster, save water, and increase your hot water capacity up to 10%. Just install this thermostatically adjustable recirculation valve under the sink farthest form your water heater and you will have instant hot water throughout your home. It uses no electricity and is pump free, so it creates no noise. It’s only $179.95, has a 10-year warranty, and is very easy to install. It only took me 10 minutes. I have had it for 3 years now and am very impressed. I highly recommend this system.

I am trying to buy this Bricor shower head that has been reviewed and I cannot find it online other than the Bricor website. Where did everyone else buy there’s? And I have a water pressure of 40-45 psi in my house and was wondering which model of the Bricor Elite Elite I should use, the 30 psi or the 80 psi?
Thanks
Nice review thanks for sharing.
One thing that’s really great about the Oxygenics showerhead is that it gives the same “super charged” spray down to as low as 20 psi…and they now have on their website a 1.9 GPM model .
What this means is that at 60 psi it runs at 1.9 GPM but at something like 30 or 40 psi it will be considerably less water usage with the same great feel. Other showerheads need high pressure in order to not be a crappy feeling shower and just restrict the water to adjust for consumption. All of the Oxygenics models work this way, some just at 2.5 GPM and some at 1.9 GPM depending on how much you want to save
I called Bricor to purchase 3 of these showerheads. Both Mr. and Mrs. Bricor where jerks. I was willing to pay $100 a showerhead and they refused my business. Because they didn’t like my attitude. I never knew it was this hard to buy a showerhead!! And they will not let you return anything if you don’t like it. Steer Clear of this Company Something Shady is going on here. Never BUY THIS PRODUCT!!! THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY AND RUN!!!
If I had to put my money on it I would say that mike sells shower heads for a living and is a competator of Bricor.
Have you tested 1.5 gpm showers that automatically control the flow rate at all water pressures between 15 psi and 120 psi, are self-cleaning, nor-corrosive, carry a 10-year replacement warranty and have 96% user acceptance? If not, why not? It is called the 1.5 gpm “Jet-Stream” Showerhead at: http://www.Jet-StreamShowerhead.net.
I just bought 2 of these for our bathrooms and they are AMAZING. We are more than happy and definatley notice a difference in the amount of water used.
You really need to find out your house PSI and decide on the GPM you want and they then customize the showerhead for that. Email them at Bricor101@aol.com for instructions on how to do so and order. As you can see, they are using an AOL email address and are a VERY small company, but make a great product. Mike in his comments about them being “jerks” may have come from a misunderstanding over the phone. My experience was much different, and the experience is much more one on one rather than, HERE IS WHAT I WANT, PLACE THE ORDER, DONE.
But no matter what issues Mike had, the product is great. And of course you can send back a custom item, thats how custom works, especially with a company where they need the sales to get big enough to eventually do things in a more corporate manner.
They strongly suggest the 1.5GPM for a “normal shower feel” and thats what we did, and again, AMAZING shower.
It is noiser as the water is airated, but you get over that quickly. I also noticed bacause its not a constant stream of water (thanks to the airation) we have the water flowing much hotter than previously, but do not feel the heat. Basically, if you turn the knob on your shower to the setting you had with your old showerhead, it will feel colder because you are introducing air to the water stream that decreases the temperature.
This may seem like a bad thing, but its not. You still use much less water, AND the ability for your house to accept a Tank Less Hot Water Heater is increased due to the lower demand of hot water thanks to these showerheads.
Everything else we tried was either cheap, or painful.
Pony up the $100 per showerhead, save water, save money, save the earth.
sorry, i mis-typed that you CAN send back a custom item. I meant that you CAN’T. You can’t return pants that you had adjusted to fit you better, this is the same thing.
